I could hardly believe that I won the Hong Kong School’s Music Contest. I’m sure that what happened today would be the best and unforgettable memory of my life.

Nothing is more important than to thank those who supported me today. Although there was a crowd of people who were mostly parents and friends of other participants, I could still easily find out where my dear friends, beloved teachers and parents sat.

When the contest was about to begin, I saw all the participants doing warm-up in the preparation room. It made me feel a little bit nervous. Encouraged by the big signs made by my ‘fans’, I started to relax. ‘I believe I can,’ I whispered.

I was the last one in the competition. However, when I got on the stage, I couldn’t breathe because there were thousands of eyes looking at me. The whole audience stared at me as though I wrer a super star. At that time, I said to myself, ‘Do my best and there’s no regret.’ How I loved to see my audience in a state of happiness and excitement.

I did it. All the people, even the judges, stood up and shook hands with me. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I kept asking myself ‘Is that true?’ When the judges announced that I was the winner of the contest, I couldn’t help but thank the audience again and again. What an exciting day!

The stage, the audience and that glorious moment, all these I would keep in my mind forever. I was so proud of myself. However, the success does not only belong to me, but also to those who supported and believed in me.
