Introduction<\/span><\/h2>

This curriculum develops students\u2019 understanding of themselves as individuals and as social beings, and gives them an opportunity to understand local, national and global economic activities. It also encourages students to develop their consciousness and interest in local and national socio-political systems and helps students develop global perspectives through exploring global issues and world politics.<\/strong>

Goals<\/span><\/h2>

(a) to develop in students a positive self understanding, enhance competence to meet daily \u00a0 and future challenges, and pursue their goals and aspirations;
(b) to enable students to make decisions for the optimal use of personal and community resources;
(c) to develop students to become informed and responsible citizens to contribute to the development of a caring and just society; and
(d) to cultivate in students sensitivity, interests and concern for local, national and global issues.<\/strong><\/p>

Activities
<\/span><\/h2>


<\/strong><\/strong>

A cultural tour of Central and Sheung Wan under the theme of “Chinese and Multicultural Heritage” deepened students\u2019 understanding of Hong Kong\u2019s historical development as a global city.<\/strong>


Students participated in a milk tea workshop to explore aspects of local Hong Kong culture.
<\/strong>

Students visited Ocean Park to study the development of the “panda economy” in Hong Kong.<\/strong>


Students took part in a study tour to Macau and posed for photos in front of the Ruins of St. Paul\u2019s.<\/strong>


Through project-based learning, students developed skills in teamwork and presentation.
